Trench excavation and tarmac reinstatement

‍This project in Slough involved trench excavation works to install underground services, followed by full tarmac reinstatement to return the surface to a safe and usable condition. The work was carried out within an active commercial area, requiring careful planning and efficient execution to minimise disruption.

We began by setting out and excavating the trench, ensuring correct depth and alignment for the installation of service pipework. The excavation was carried out with precision to avoid unnecessary disturbance to the surrounding surface. Once exposed, the trench was prepared to receive the new service infrastructure, with pipework installed and secured in line with required specifications.

Following installation, the trench was backfilled using appropriate materials and compacted in layers to ensure long-term stability. Proper compaction was essential to prevent future settlement and maintain the integrity of the surface.

Once the groundwork was complete, we reinstated the tarmac surface. This involved preparing the area, applying new tarmac, and finishing it to match the surrounding levels and existing surfaces as closely as possible. Care was taken to ensure a smooth, durable finish with clean edges around access covers and adjoining areas.

The result is a fully reinstated surface that blends with the existing environment while providing strength, durability, and safe access. This project demonstrates our ability to carry out essential service works alongside high-quality surface reinstatement in busy commercial settings.
