Delivery bay tarmac installation and resurfacing

‍This project in Hastings involved the full construction of a new delivery bay, including demolition, groundwork preparation, and final tarmac surfacing. The aim was to create a durable and practical space capable of handling frequent use by delivery vehicles in a busy commercial environment.

We began by breaking out and removing the existing surface, clearing away old concrete and tarmac to expose the base layer. This allowed us to assess and prepare the ground properly before installing the new surface. All waste materials were removed from site, leaving a clean and stable area ready for reconstruction.

Following demolition, we carried out the groundwork phase, which included levelling, compacting, and preparing the sub-base to ensure long-term strength and stability. Particular attention was given to load-bearing requirements, as the delivery bay needed to withstand regular use from heavy vehicles.

Once the base was fully prepared, new tarmac was laid and finished to create a smooth, even surface with clean edges and defined parking and access areas. The layout was designed to improve vehicle flow and make the space more efficient for day-to-day operations.

The finished delivery bay provides a robust, weather-resistant surface that enhances both functionality and appearance. This project highlights our ability to deliver complete groundwork and surfacing solutions, from initial demolition through to the final finish, tailored to commercial requirements.
